SALES NEWS: South west house prices continue to show gentle rises
House prices across the south west continue to grow slowly and sustainably, according to the latest index produced by Rightmove.
It shows that in February prices rose a modest 0.4 per cent in February taking the annual increase to 5.6 per cent.
A typical home in the region now costs £268,580 against the figure of £254,363 in early 2014.
Rightmove’s commercial director, Miles Shipside, says there may be a lull in market activity around the time of the general election but that past experience suggests this will be followed by an increased number of homes on sale shortly after polling day.
