SALES NEWS: Two measures show south west prices rising

19/03/15

Two new housing market barometers show steady price rises for south west homes.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ monthly survey, which measures market sentiment rather than exact prices, has almost every RICS estate agent and surveyor across the south west suggesting local prices have risen ‘slightly’ in the past month.

Meanwhile Home.co.uk, a property portal, says the average asking price of a home on sale in the south west region is now £281,922 after a small 0.6 per cent rise in February and a 4.8 per cent increase over the past 12 months.

Home says properties are selling slightly faster than this time last year, too.
